The rules - short and clear.
By using the ClipTik TikTok video downloader, you agree to a small set of common-sense rules about whose content you're saving and how.
Permission-first
ClipTik is intended for creators backing up their own work, and for anyone with explicit permission to save a specific video. You're responsible for confirming you have that right before using the tool.
No automatic rights
The availability of a public URL does not, by itself, grant permission to copy, download, reuse, redistribute, or republish the content. Creators retain their rights even when their video is publicly visible.
No persistence
ClipTik does not host or persist video files. Bytes pass through our server transiently while we deliver them to your device - nothing is written to disk and nothing is retained after the request completes.
Platform terms
You are responsible for following the terms of service of the platform where the content was originally published (in this case, TikTok). ClipTik is an independent tool and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or partnered with TikTok or ByteDance.
No abuse
Automated abuse, scraping, mass downloading, or any attempt to bypass our rate limits and short-lived link policy is not permitted and may result in your IP being blocked.
No warranty
ClipTik is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it working, but TikTok's platform can change at any time and may break extraction without notice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ClipTik. If you're under 18, please use ClipTik only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using ClipTik, you confirm you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to accept these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ClipTik and the people running it are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service - including lost data, lost profits, missed downloads, or content unavailability.
If a court finds us liable despite the above, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months - which, for a free service, is zero.
This clause doesn't limit liability that can't be limited under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence. If you're a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections your local consumer law gives you.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ClipTik and its operators from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service - in particular, claims by creators or platforms that you saved or redistributed content without the necessary permission.
Termination
You can stop using ClipTik at any time - simply close the tab. There is no account to cancel. We can suspend access for any IP that violates these terms, particularly the abuse and permission rules above. Sections covering liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.
Disputes
If you have a complaint, please reach out via the contact email below first - most things can be resolved by talking. If we can't agree, any formal dispute will be handled in the courts at the operator's principal place of business, unless your local consumer law gives you a different forum that we can't override.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. The unenforceable part will be interpreted to reflect the original intent as closely as the law allows.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a material way, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date below. For significant changes we'll flag it on the home page for a reasonable period. Continued use of ClipTik after a change means you accept the updated terms.
